A Blue Zone is an area where people live to be 100 plus, notably more than elsewhere. Italy has a blue zone but there, they dismiss it as pension fraud, viz. granny died years ago but the family still draws her pension. The FT article reveals a new blue zone has appeared - in Tower Hamlets, East London. Must be all that pure mountain air, spring water and organic fruit and vegetables.
